APC E-Registration: Okpebholo Obtains Membership Card, Calls on Edo Residents to Enrol at Ward Level

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has formally completed his registration as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under the party’s ongoing electronic membership registration exercise.

The governor was registered in his hometown of Irrua, Esan Central Local Government Area, where he received his registration card, becoming the first party member to be captured in the state through the current e-registration process.

Expressing satisfaction with the exercise, Governor Okpebholo described the process as seamless and user-friendly, and urged APC members as well as prospective supporters to take advantage of the initiative by registering at their respective wards and polling units ahead of future elections.

Speaking with journalists shortly after receiving his card, the governor commended the registration team and encouraged widespread participation in the exercise.

“I appreciate the APC e-registration team for a smooth and well-organised exercise. I am pleased with how simple and accessible the process is. With basic requirements such as the National Identification Number and voter’s card, registration can be completed easily,” he said.

Governor Okpebholo also noted that the exercise allows interested individuals to register online, eliminating the need to physically return to their wards in some cases.

“I encourage all Edo citizens and those interested in joining the APC to take part in this registration exercise and become full members of the party. I thank the e-registration team and our APC Senatorial Leader, Major General Cecil Esekhaigbe (retd.), for monitoring the process. I am now fully registered and urge every APC member to do the same,” he added.

Earlier, the Esan Central APC e-registration coordinator, Mr Otoanyenlen Eugene Osedebamen, said the exercise was designed to promote fairness, inclusiveness and equal rights for all party members.

“We are in Irrua today to officially commence the APC e-registration exercise in Esan Central. This process ensures that every party member has equal opportunity and full recognition. We encourage all members to register at their polling units,” he said.

Osedebamen added that registering the governor in his hometown symbolised the party’s grassroots focus, while also commending Governor Okpebholo for his commitment to governance and development in the state.

The APC e-registration exercise in Edo State is aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots structure, expanding its membership base and positioning it for effective mobilisation ahead of upcoming general elections.
