The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that it has completed the upload of its candidates for all elective positions in the 2027 general elections on the portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, disclosed this at the weekend following the completion of the submission process.
According to Yilwatda, the party completed the exercise within the original timeframe set by INEC, describing the development as evidence of the party’s organisational preparedness for the 2027 elections.
The exercise covered candidates contesting positions from the State Houses of Assembly to the presidential election.
Yilwatda said the process required coordination between the APC national secretariat, state chapters, candidates and election management teams across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, the APC chairman said the party’s ability to complete the exercise ahead of the original deadline reflected careful planning and coordination.
“The APC has once again demonstrated that we are prepared for the responsibility of governing Nigeria. We did not wait until the last minute. We planned ahead, coordinated our structures and ensured that our candidates were successfully uploaded before the expiration of the original deadline,” Yilwatda said.
