With God and Your Support, I’ll Be Re-Elected – Gov. Adeleke Tells Osun Residents

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed confidence that his re-election later this year will be secured through divine guidance and the support of the people. Addressing attendees at the State Secretariat during a New Year inter-religious prayer with labour and religious leaders on Monday, the governor reflected on his administration’s achievements and resilience over the past three years.

“Our God is our sustainer, our defender, our protector. From the beginning to date, our God fights our battles for us. The universal being rises against those who rise against us… We secured several divine victories in the last three years. We overcome several obstacles and challenges,” Adeleke said.

He emphasized that God has played a central role in the administration’s success, saying, “When we call Him, He answers us; when we invoke Him, He answers with thunderstorms. The divine crushes our enemies; He destroys their evil plots, and we emerge victorious in battles upon battles.”

Labour and Religious Leaders Back Re-Election

The Chairman of Osun NLC, Comrade Christopher Arapasopo, pledged the labour movement’s commitment to vote en masse for Governor Adeleke in the August 8, 2026, elections.

Religious leaders, including the Chief Imam of Osogbo and Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Osun State, Sheikh Musa Animasaun, alongside Dr. John Adeleke, commended the governor’s devotion to God and prayed for divine intervention to support his re-election bid.

Governor Adeleke concluded by reaffirming his commitment to governance guided by faith, service, and accountability, expressing confidence that he will continue to overcome challenges and remain victorious.
