Okpebholo reshuffles Edo Cabinet to Boost Efficiency, Service Delivery

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved a minor reshuffle of the State Executive Council as part of efforts to strengthen governance, improve service delivery and enhance administrative efficiency.

The development was announced in a statement issued on Friday in Benin by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Musa Ikhilor.

According to the statement, the changes are aimed at repositioning key ministries and offices for better coordination and effective implementation of government policies.

As part of the reshuffle, the Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, Mr Vincent Osas Uwadiae, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Lands and Housing to serve as Commissioner.

In addition, the Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Mr Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, has been appointed as Chief of Staff to the Governor.

The statement further disclosed that the outgoing Chief of Staff, Alhaji Gani Audu, has been nominated to assume the position of Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, subject to confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.

Ikhilor noted that the changes take immediate effect.

He added that Governor Okpebholo expressed confidence that the strategic redeployments would enhance teamwork, strengthen policy execution and promote more effective governance in Edo State.
